Live the Questions
I beg you to have patience with everything unresolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves as if they were locked rooms or books written in a very foreign language. Don’t search for the answers, which could not be given to you now, because you would not be able to live them. And the point is, to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps then, someday far in the future, you will gradually, without even noticing it, live your way to the answer.
Rainer Maria Rilke – Letters to a Young Poet
Thank you, Crackerjack, for thinking of me and sending me these beautiful words. Perhaps this is the key. Or one of the keys in a big ol’ jangly keychain we carry around in an attempt to unlock the secrets of life and happiness.
What can we do, but keep collecting keys? This is a good one. A big shiny one. I like it very much and will clutch it in my palm, hoping its imprint will work its way into the way I carry myself through the day.
